[Maybe.. maybe not. Who knows. Sabo was presumably dead at the time when he got shot down by the marines at a young age. There would've been no evidence of him being alive, except for Dragon who had saved him that day. His memory was wiped of his two other brothers and their childhood, and seeing as having traumatic drama with his parents even with no recollection of them, there had been no occurrence or intention of him going back for a time.

It was only after Ace had passed away and reading over the newspaper that these memories had resurfaced.. and with that the realization of a found family member... gone.

He faces down, his hat tipped downward at the other blond, smirking.]

Ace, huh? [It's uncanny to hear how his display to Luffy and the other Strawhats was similar to that of the other. Pretty inevitable, since they have been best friends for a time.. and considered themselves both Luffy's big brothers.] I guess you could say that.
