Of course. [He chuckles at the smoking chef. It wasn't like he didn't know, but he's read reports on the island being half fire.. half ice. So he found it amusing with how he said it.] I'll probably go there for a visit if I have the time.
[Being a Revolutionary, he has a lot of work going on after all!! Though he can always make the time if he asks.. or doesn't.]
I wouldn't know the types of alcohol there are, but I appreciate the gesture. [He smiles, looking over at the wine Sanji pours as he waits until he is given a glass.
He follows in the toast Sanji initialized with a few words of his own.]
May he continue to rest in peace.
[He's not accustomed enough to holding the glass Sanji handed to him.. but he cups it firmly up while his eyes are veered from view. Sabo smiles, remembering the other brother who had watched over Luffy for the time he was missing and closely has his glass near Sanji's that they were almost touching.
To give a tribute again to the late Fire Fist after having visited his grave before he landed in this world was something he wouldn't mind doing over and over again. Even amongst the snoring pirates around Sanji and himself.. it still felt peaceful. He was still unaware of the other brother having been here, but none the less..meeting with him was something he thinks about every now and then. To see him once more as adults, would've been a moment to be had.]
[If someone was going to tell Sabo about Ace having been here, it sure has hell won't be Sanji. It's not his place, first of all, but he honestly doesn't think there's much point in dwelling on the past. On what could have been, if the timing had just been a little different.
It's better, now, to simply clink his glass gently against Sabo's before swirling the alcohol in it around once, twice, before finally taking a small sip. Leaving a moment of silence and respect hanging in the air between them.
Finally, though, the silence needs to be broken. And it needs to be broken with the thing Sanji initially came here to talk about.]
[Well it doesn't seem like it would be anything big.. granted.. he's always the type to help out anyone who's
part of Luffy's crew or any of his friends. Any friend of Luffy's is going to be a friend of his. He gulps down the drink in the glass that Sanji had handed to him.
He then puts down the now empty glass, and looks up at the other Blond noticing the calm but serious expression he has while swiveling the wine glass of his. Sabo shoves a hand in one of his pockets, while the other still clutches onto the stem of his own wine glass. ]
[There's another moment of silence. Another lull broken only by the sound of Sanji inhaling and exhaling a breath of smoke.]
I meant it when I said to forget what that kid told you. [Finally, he turns to look at Sabo, though honestly he just looks tired, rather than any sort of serious or threatening.] Luffy won't give enough of a shit to ask, but Nami-san might. And what that kid said would only going to make things worse for her.
What things? What do you mean? [He asks for clarification, as if he wanted to confirm what he meant. No kid should be overlooked, and regardless of what he says, the intention was different.
He then stares at the other blond, in a serious expression. While he should be more considerable, he chooses not to, being more concerned over the matter himself.]
It's unlikely Luffy will ask but as someone who appreciates his friends and family... I'd rather you be more honest with him than hide it.
[He's had the experience to hide something huge himself as a kid....mainly that he came from a noble family. It was after some time when Luffy and Ace find out he ran away that he admits to it. He knows that if he cares about his brother that much, it's best not to keep any secrets.]
The amount of love he puts into the people he cares for, family.. friends.. nakama..it's irreplacable. You should know this, as his crewmate.
